Sweet memories

Having a daughter means that we will share many sacred memories together. Through this journey I will teach you and mold you into a little lady. One day you will be a responsible women that carries herself with confidence that respects and loves herself first. One day I will teach you how to shave your legs and how to put on makeup. I am excited about all of the special events that are going to happen in her life and hope I am apart of them all, showing love, excitement, and enthusiasm.

As for today, I was happy and eager to teach her how to braid hair. It may not seem like anything to some, but for me to watch her do something positive that I taught her made me shed a couple of tears. Realizing that we just created a happy mother and daughter memory. And the greatest feeling through it all was seeing how proud of herself she was. I love you with all of my heart and soul Olivia Simone. :)

Dear Olivia

When I found out I was having a little girl I knew you would be my little ballerina. Three years later and here you are and still my tiny little dancer. I am so proud of you and beyond blessed that I am able to keep you in dance. Love you always, my Olivia Simone :)

Olivia woke up from her nap today while I was on the computer and asked to take a picture with me. She wanted to make a video but I didn't have time to get one going. So I played music for her and combed her hair. We argue like she is a teenager right now, so when she asked me to sit in my lap I said yes right away. I am hoping when she goes off to school she will have a better relationship. I want to be her sun, moon, and stars. I want her to adore me but respect me at the same time. I want to me a great mother to her and a friend also.

i haven't updated olivia's blog in a long time. i really don't know where to begin and what to post. i guess i will start with whats going on right now. she is getting ready to go to kindergarten. her teacher's approved her to move to the next level and assured us she is more than ready to go. her teachers are excited and confident that she will be reading very early in kindergarten. we are working on sight words, she can write her upper and lower case letters, her numbers 1-15, and so many more exciting things. she has always been smart and it's a gift to watch her grow and move on to the next level. pretty soon we are going school shopping and she is very excited to get a lunch box for school this year. she loves to talk and plan out her day with me. she has to have an input on what she wears down to what goes in her mouth. she loves to help me cook and she enjoys folding wash cloths for me when i am doing the laundry. for the summer she was in cheer camp and at the end of august she will join soccer. her father and i lived with my parents for a year and she went to preschool for a while. it wasn't a safe enviornment so she didn't finish the year out, she was maybe two months away from finishing. when she was 2 1/2 going on 3 she started dance at the same time when she was in preschool. when she turned 4 she had an amazing opportunity to attend the best preschool in our city. and every tuesday she still attended dance class. i found a small dance program that allows her to dance in a dance room and recieve beautiful costumes. in addition to performing on a stage. i am very blessed for the many memories we had when we were very poor. and staying positive wasn't always easy but it got us through the hardest times of our lives. i will include some pictures of all the memories i've written down. olivia is doing an arts and craft right now so i will post a few now and keep updating more until i am finished. they might be a little out of order but i will label them.
